Hixon House
The historic Hixon House, located in Lacrosse Wisconsin, is the home of lumber baron Gideon Hixon. An architecturally and historically important site, the house was begun in 1859. It contains its original 19th-century furnishings, so visitors are provided an authentic look into the lifestyle of the latter Victorian period. The house festures beautiful woodwork, and the furnishings include many fine pieces from the Hixons' travels to the Orient and Europe. For more information go to Hixon House.
